Another Loss, Another Lost Season
I'm watching the Orioles game, and it's a sad state of affairs. They are already losing to Boston 0-2 in the 2nd inning. They are working on their 10th straight loss in a seemingly inevitable 10th straight losing season.
I'd like to see the Orioles in the World Series sometime in my lifetime. In the last real chance they had, they lost the ALCS to the Yankees (naturally). I believe I was nine.
Oh, baseball, you matter not. Yet I watch.
Edit: (11:26pm) Okay, so in a bizarre turn of events they won. It really was a strange game, but it was only a matter of time before manager Dave Trembley got himself thrown out of a game. It seems as though getting yourself tossed is an unwritten rule in the guidebook for losing managers. After 8 or 9 in a row, it's time to kick some dirt at ol' blue. But alas, he must have sparked something - Tejada and Markakis homered in a 9-8 Orioles win.
